'Nambo' repeated double win and attacks the leadership

Ivan Cervantes again suffered the unfavorable terrain but could add two fourth places.
The picturesque Romanian town of Buzau debuted this weekend hosting the Enduro World Championship in which the Gas Gas rider Christophe Nambotin was again one of the most important protagonists.

The Frenchman was the clear dominator of the big category for the two days ahead of Sebastien Guillaume, on Saturday, and Mika Ahola, on Sunday. These two victories come close to 23 points off the lead in the general, a distance that will be difficult to cut in the four days racing than left to the end of the season, but is similar to the one that has cut the last two grands prix to Ahola, who remains leader of E3.

Meanwhile, Ivan Cervantes again suffered more than necessary on a ground not conducive for EC 250 2T, and the hardness of the ground subtracted much traction. However, Ivan was able to finish the two days in fourth place and keep adding points. As a result and even with two victories by 'Pela' Renet in Romania, the Gas Gas rider still third overall behind Antoine Meo and Cristobal Guerrero, who alternated the second and third place on the podium on both days.

Jordi Figueras was ninth at E3 on Saturday and had to leave on Sunday, while Josep Ralló too was gone on Saturday and could not take the start on Sunday. The World Championship starts a break now until the first weekend of September, when will arrive the GP of Andorra.

Christophe Nambotin

"Four wins in the last four days are to feel good, of course, though mostly I'm happy because I'm putting up with Mika Ahola. I think we were quite strong in all the stages, but on Saturday had some problems that prevented me to get the best of times on the Cross Test. Despite this, we won and we get a lot in general Ahola".

Ivan Cervantes

"In spite of all has not gone bad. The race was hard and complicated, similar than the others that we are having this year, so it has again become unfavorable to our bike. Still, getting two fourth place and be fighting for the podium is something to be welcomed. Now comes the summer break, but this year we will have to work if we want to be ahead in the two remaining races".
