Jonathan Barragán, new rider for Gas Gas

Jonathan Barragán joins the ranks of the Gas Gas Factory Pons Team. The rider from Madrid, age 29, who has raced in the World and Spanish Enduro Championships will officially represent the Girona brand in the category E3, at the controls of the powerful Gas Gas EC300.
This afternoon, the rider from Getafe has signed his commitment in Girona as an official rider for the brand for next season, seen in the image below with Ramon Puente, director-general of Gas Gas, and Sergi Durán - team manager - Gas Gas Factory Pons Team.

Thus, Gas Gas wagers on one of the riders with the most potential in enduro, as evidenced by the excellent results achieved by the Madrid rider in his first season in the specialty. "Rookie" of the World in 2014, third with the Spanish team in the ISDE in Argentina, best scratch time in the GP of Sweden, and three wins in the National category are just some of the results achieved by this new Gas Gas rider in his debut year. Barragán will from now on, will receive official rider support in the World and National enduro races.

After winning the Spanish Motocross Championship eleven times - in different categories - and becoming the best Spanish rider in history in World Championship Motocross MX1, with a fourth place in 2008 and several Grand Prix victories in 2014, Jonathan Barragán decided to jump into the sport of enduro, a specialty which he has quickly adapted with speed and ease thanks to his technique and speed forged on the motocrosstracks.

The Madrid rider is one of the biggest bets of the Gas Gas Factory Pons Team for next season, when he will fight to climb to the top of the podium with his new Gas Gas EC300 in the premier class enduro, E3.

Jonathan Barragán: “Next year I will race in the World and Spanish Enduro championships in E3 with the Gas Gas Factory Pons Team. The truth is that I tried the bike and loved it, I enjoyed it, I think it has a lot of potential, and with it, we may have an advantage. I am very pleased with the confidence that Gas Gas has placed in me, it is a mutual commitment because, from now on, I will be a supported rider in the World Championship, which so far, I have not had. We will work together to prepare, to train and give everything to achieve the best possible results, because I think this Gas Gas EC300 can win".
