Huge Gas Gas presence at the Trial des Nations on the year of its return to the elite international scene

15/09/2016
The company from Girona was the only brand present on the podium in all three categories of the top international competition for teams held in France. Sandra Gómez with the second position for Spain in the women’s category. Jack Price third for Great Britain in the World Championship. And the German rider Franz Kadlec, on the very top of the podium in the Trophy category, together with third position for the Czechs Martin Matejicek and Marek Wünsch. Gas Gas’ return to the front of the field of the international trial scene has been solidly backed up by their medals.
With five riders on the podium in the three categories held at Isola 2000, in this year’s Trial des Nations 2016 at the French ski resort, this has been a more than just a positive result for Gas Gas’ year of return to the elite of international trial.

Double recognition for Sandra Gómez in a highly intense weekend for the rider from Madrid. On Friday she assured her second place in the Women’s Trial World Championship. This was her best result in the World Championship after finishing third in 2012 and 2014. The very next day, together with Gas Gas bike, she won a second place for Spain in the Women’s category of the TdN2016, together with her companions Berta Abellán and Mireia Conde.

Meanwhile on Sunday, the brilliant Trial2 World Champion, Jack Price, carried the Gas Gas flag with him when he climbed onto the third place on the podium of the World Championship for Great Britain, forming part of the selection with James Dabill and Iwan Roberts at the very highest level of the masculine category.

The Italian combination, Matteo Grattarola and Gianluca Tournour, both Gas Gas riders of the azzurra, together with Luca Petrella, had to make do this year with fifth place. They were followed by the Norwegian selection Häkon Pedersen, top rider in the Scandinavian country and classified sixth at Isola 2000.

And as we mentioned previously, third time lucky for Gas Gas with a double presence in the Trophy category, the star of the Trial des Nations. Franz Kadlec led the Germans to victory, while Martin Matejicek and Marek Wünsch joined forces for the Czech Republic to get a third position on the podium.
