Selling my 2001 TXT 280 after having bought a 2009 model. Bike is in excelent condition and has been well cared for. This last season I noticed the fan was running a little slow. Troubleshooting resulted in me buying an upgraded fan, thermostat, and ignition module before discovering that my problem was in the magneto, which resulted in me buying a new wiring harness. I have also put in new clutch plates, handle grips, and a brand new back tire. HAHA basically the troubleshooting with the fan made me hate the bike enough to sell it and buy a new one. Good news is that the guts in this bike are practically all brand new so whoever buys this won’t have to worry about maintenance for a good long while. 2003 Gas Gas TXT 280 Pro which I purchased new in 2007. I am the original owner. It has been used very little and is in excellent condition, in fact it still has the original tires on it. I registered it for on highway use so that I could ride from trail to trail without loading up or do some urban riding around town. The registration can be transfered. The Gas Gas has two sets of plastic one in red with lights, wiring and tag mount. The bike is now dressed with blue plastic with number plate (no lights) and is how the bike will be delivered. I am willing to deliver or ship the bike to any where in the world at buyers expense. I am unable to ride due to a back injury and dred parting with my Gas Gas, so my price of $3200 is firm, but I will consider trades of items that may be interesting to me, like large scale RC planes, trailers, flats boat, RV or small cars like Subaru, VW's............... 2002 GasGas TXT 280 Pro. Has updated 2003 clutch components. Was completely disassembled and rebuilt in 2006 by professional Gas Gas mechanic with all new needed parts. Has appx. 7 hours since rebuild. Hence why I am selling it. I just don't have time to ride. Could use new tires or just turn around rear tire. Has been well maintained with oil (GM Autotrack II transfer case oil) used as recommended by Gas Gas. Rear fender is split but has been glued and duct taped back together. This is the ride which Adam Raga won his 03,04,05 and 06 Championship.(Top 3s in 07 & 08).He's still riding this 2-stroke bike in the battles. GASGAS has always been considering the most reliable, well-construct, friendly, and easy-maintain trials bike.There's no crack, dent, or damaged parts any where on this beauty. I do start the engine and lube regularly to keep it sharp. Perfect jetting and tuned for Los Angeles weather. FAST reaction and smooth running. I've only pulled out this bike for ridding in the forest twice; other than that, this is a backyard and low-hour motorcycle.
