ICKERINGTON, Ohio -- The American Motorcyclist Association welcomes the support of GasGas North America, which will provide an AMA membership along with every new 2017 GasGas enduro or trials motorcycle purchased in the United States, effective retroactively to Dec. 1, 2016.
"The support of companies such as GasGas North America to the AMA and our members is good for the association and good for motorcycling", said AMA Vice President of Industry Relations and Business Member Programs Jim Williams. "Working together, we are all in a better position to fulfill the AMA's mission to promote the motorcycle lifestyle and protect the future of motorcycling. We look forward to working with Gas Gas going forward and welcoming all new GasGas customers to the membership ranks of the AMA".
GasGas says the program is designed to help support the AMA's membership efforts and to get every GasGas owner started off on the right foot as a member of the largest motorcycle enthusiast membership association in the country.
"We are very proud to offer a one-year AMA membership with the purchase of one our motorcycles", said Scot Harden, Chief Marketing Officer of Torrot GasGas North America Inc. "We strongly believe in and support the mission of the AMA and can think of no better way to help grow membership than by offering the membership free of charge to our customers. Our sport has never needed the AMA more than it does today as we are under constant attack by regulatory bodies and environmental groups. In addition to protecting rider's rights, the AMA offers an impressive list of membership benefits including free roadside assistance, a subscription to American Motorcyclist magazine and a host of other discounts and rewards".
The membership program is available to those who have purchased a new 2017 GasGas model since Dec. 1. For GasGas customers who are existing AMA members, GasGas will cover an additional year of their membership dues.
To activate their AMA membership, or to extend an existing membership by one year, new GasGas purchasers should call (800) 262-5646.
