JUSTIN BARCIA RIDES THE TRIPLE CROWN ROLLERCOASTER AT GLENDALE SUPERCROSS

    View Profile
Rockstar Energy GASGAS Factory Racing’s Justin Barcia showed flashes of his true colors at the Glendale round of the 2025 AMA Supercross Championship, charging to a P6 result in one of the three Triple Crown races. Justin Barcia surges from the back of the field in first race Sixth-place finish in the final 450SX race saw him finish 12th overall Bam Bam currently sits eighth in the series standings A troubled qualifying session gave Barcia an outside gate pick for the three Triple Crown finals, and a tough start to the first race saw him round the first turn at the back of the field. Racing the GASGAS MC 450F Factory Edition, Bam Bam went on a trademark charge up to 12th, then replicated that result again in the second final. The 32-year-old saved his best for last in the final outing, where he ran as high as P2, then held his own to finish sixth. Those combined results saw him finish the round in 12th overall, and he’s now holding down eighth place on the 450SX points ladder following Round 4 inside State Farm Stadium. Justin Barcia: "Glendale was a rollercoaster and I don’t like rollercoasters [laughs]! I actually felt really good in qualifying, but was slower than I was hoping, and that set me up for a bad gate-pick in the first race. I got an average start and had to charge through the pack from last up to 12th. The second race I got a better start, but rode a little tight and finished 12th again. That wasn’t much fun, but I almost holeshot the last race and mixed it up with the guys I belong with, so came home with a sixth. It definitely wasn’t the weekend we wanted, but we’re moving forward and know what we need to work on before we head to the East Coast." Rockstar Energy GASGAS Factory Racing would like to provide an update on Ryder DiFrancesco, who was sidelined ahead of Anaheim 2, Round 3 of the 2025 AMA Supercross Championship. Update released on Ryder DiFrancesco's condition Released from hospital following successful surgery Potential return date remains unclear at this time Due to the need for further assessment and to ensure the correct and most accurate information was shared, Rockstar Energy GASGAS Factory Racing, along with Ryder and his family, chose not to release specifics about his injury until all details were confirmed and he was released from the hospital. Ryder was admitted to hospital on Thursday, January 23, after experiencing abdominal pain and what initially appeared to be a fractured arm. Following a thorough evaluation, it was determined that Ryder suffered a fractured radial, broken lower left rib and sustained internal abdominal damage. He underwent surgery in the early hours of Friday, January 24, to address the internal abdominal damage. We are pleased to share that Ryder has been cleared of any additional risk related to his abdominal issues and has been released from the hospital. However, his road to recovery is ongoing. Ryder will now consult with a specialist for his arm fracture, and his return to the bike and racing remains uncertain at this time. The Rockstar Energy GASGAS Factory Racing Team appreciates the support from fans, and we continue to prioritize Ryder’s health and recovery as the primary focus. We will provide further updates as more information becomes available.

TOP 10 SCORE FOR JUSTIN BARCIA AT ANAHEIM 2 SUPERCROSS

A hard-fought top 10 result saw Rockstar Energy GASGAS Factory Racing and Justin Barcia complete Anaheim 2 with a solid haul of points today, marking Round 3 of the 2025 AMA Supercross Championship. Justin Barcia races to 10th position at Anaheim 2 Bam Bam holds down ninth in the 450SX standings Ryder DiFrancesco sat out the round after a mid-week crash Onboard the GASGAS MC 450F Factory Edition, Bam Bam posted the ninth-fastest lap-time within Angel Stadium during qualifying. In his Heat Race, Barcia was able to work his way from outside the top 10 into P7 before the checkered flag fell. Come the Main Event and with rain falling to make for technical track conditions, the 32-year-old found himself buried mid-pack exiting the first turn, but he was able to make enough passes on a slick surface to finish with a well-earned result in 10th position. After four rounds, Bam Bam sits ninth in the standings. Justin Barcia: "I came into A2 feeling strong on the bike, but I struggled with my flow in my Heat Race and got a bit tight. I thought we’d worked it out for the Main Event, but unfortunately, I got mixed up at the beginning then rode extremely tight the whole race. It was a disappointing night, because I didn’t perform the way I wanted to or ride the way I should, so we’ll regroup for Phoenix! I’m a good sprinter, so I’m looking forward to the Triple Crown format." After two impressive top-five results at the opening two rounds with Rockstar Energy GASGAS Factory Racing, 250SX West contender Ryder DiFrancesco sat out Anaheim 2 as a result of a practice crash on Thursday.
