Nambotin and McCanney get GasGas the second and third positions in the final rankings in the E3 World Championship

Antoine Basset rounds off the great results from the GasGas Enduro Factory Team this season achieving third position in E1.

Danny McCanney climbs on to the second step of the E3 podium twice after a great performance by the British rider in the final round of the EnduroGP World Championship held in Rüdersdorf, Germany.

His teammate Christophe Nambotin, fourth yesterday, achieved second overall position in the World Championship thanks to his third place today. These second and third places from the French and the British riders in the very highest class, have brought GasGas back to the elite of World Championship Enduro.

Meanwhile, Antoine Basset, with two fourth places in this last event of the season, ensures a third position in his category, E1. The Finnish rider, Eemil Pohjola, closes the season with two fifth places in the quarter litre class.

"My speed was not the best in this last Grand Prix of the season, although I had a good feeling with the bike. I finished fourth on Saturday and third on Sunday. The important thing is that we have got a good second position in E3 for GasGas and we should be happy with this final result. It's been a pleasure to fight for victory with Steve [Holcombe] during this season and we have to congratulate him for the title in the championship because he has been very strong this year."

"I am very happy to finish the season in this magnificent way, with a good race, going up twice onto the second step of the Rüdersdorf podium. The truth is that I have felt very comfortable throughout the weekend. Yesterday a fall in the extreme made me lose almost 20 seconds, but finally I was able to fight back to second place. And today I was second again, finally finishing third in my category in the World Championship."

"This weekend I found it hard to find a good feeling in the enduro test and that showed in the times. I tried to push for better times, but when I tried it, it made me make more mistakes than usual. I have got two fourth places here in Germany, which takes us to finish third in the E1 World Championship, which is a good result for me and for GasGas."

"Yesterday I felt good with my new GasGas EC250 and finished in fifth place. Today was a very tough day and it took me a little longer to find my rhythm on the stages. However, I managed to be fifth again and thus get the fourth place finally in the E1 Enduro World Championship in my first year with the GasGas team."
